Wentworth Street and Hat Hill Road.
Another cameo glimpse from The Streets of Blackheath.
This was once a traditional "corner store" in a very plain old brick building. Until recently it was known as Hat Hill Gallery and did some decent photo printing and framing, as well as selling old posters, music etc.
The owners have now decided that their passion is the collecting and selling of old "vinyls" (LPs to us oldies) and have dropped the printing and framing. Those with an interest in "Real Hi Fi" will appreciate the Rega Planar poster in the window.
The first extra shows some of the old signwriting on the brick wall. This is faded and barely visible in most lights, but managed to capture this in the cold (2 degrees - "feels like" minus 7.8 !) light of a Blackheath morning that is the harbinger of an early winter.
The second extra is a more recent addition in the street art tradition, reflecting the current owners' passion.
