Allotments

Our regular walk takes us past some allotments, which are much better looked after and planted than usual.  I'm looking forward to watching them develop.  Our vegetable garden is about the size of the dug bed in the foreground so that I suspect we will be using some pots and grow bags when MrHCB is ready to plant out the contents of his greenhouse (Wednesday's extra).

Margaret asked if I might tone down the background of my Red Kite blip on Monday.  I was so busy looking at the bird that I hadn't noticed how bright and busy the background was.  So during a thunderstorm (!) this morning, I played with textures in Photoshop and produced the moodier but less realistic version in today's extra.
