Everyday Ideas - 48 Bullfinch

I am running out of ideas!
Does that sound familiar?
So, we probably need a lot less 'Bullfinch' - to put it politely..

Well, one thing did occur to me today and it is also something that has been accumulating over the last 2 months. This is the pathetic ability of our current crop of journalists/media to ask any insightful questions - especially on the BBC and at the 5pm briefings. They all need to be withdrawn from the front line of journalism for a compulsory period of Barristerial training. As a very experienced PhD examiner, I just would not put up with the low level of perspicacity, interlocutory skills/abilities and amazing degrees of waffle spurting out of Politicians, and now also the Government appointed Scientists (remember that they are not impartial but are politically selected, vetted, appointees who give a bad name to impartial and professional Science).

So, to make this more visible. How about a running league table of the most useless Media journalists.  My list, which will be controversial I know, would run something like this. The most useless are at the top.

1. Nick Robinson
2. Martha Kearney
3. Andrew Marr
4. Anybody on BBC Breakfast
5. Anybody from the Daily Mail
6. That idiot (Andrew Pierce) that co-presents with Kevin Maguire on Sky News (Papers)
7. Fiona Bruce
8. Robert Peston and his London 'Chums'...Watcha...
9. Laura Kuenssberg
10. and we could go on and on and on....

I know they have a (extremely well paid) difficult job, but - dear me - they really do  need to raise their game in these difficult times.

Rant over - so back to taking nice photos of Bullfinches and other wonderful birdlife.
