A strange find

When we used to dive I was always a good spotter. I had an eye for finding the small macro things that were hard to spot. I miss that a lot. Today those spotting skills found us something strange on an exercise walk. A hedgehog foot on the side of the path - just a foot. It was a fairly busy road and so I suspect maybe road kill and then something had eaten the rest of it. I know it is a hedgehog as I used to foster rescue hedgehogs over winter so I recognised it straight away. Sad but also intriguing to see. Ivy found it quite sad and so we took it home, said a little prayer and buried it in the garden.
