Happy May Day

On May 1st I always think of my Mom. She always celebrated May Day with gifts of candy, usually chocolate, to people she loved. Sometimes the candy would be in small fabric bags, or in little baskets, as colorful as spring, and always unexpected. This May Day was anything but sunny. The rain was steady through last night and continued throughout the day today. I expect tree and flower buds to explode over the sunny weekend ahead. I’m looking forward to sun and 60 degrees!
