Here there and everywhere

Lockdown day 49

Today would have been our dad's 85th birthday. I had a quiet 20 mins this morning on our patio, with a cup of tea and a slice of banana bread, enjoying the plants in the sun, and remembering when he was here in Barcelona with us, enjoying time together. He was always grateful for the little pleasures in life and would often tell me to slow down, sit down and just enjoy a chat and our time together.  My brother busboy asked me today,  'What would dad think of what's happening now in the world?'  I'm sure he would be in the camp of our appreciating little things, making do, and giving thanks for what we have, rather than pushing ourselves to learn how to do double backwards somersaults while quoting Shakespeare. I'll love him now and always. I was always a daddy's girl.
