Squirrely Friday
Decided to take a break from birds today and give you one of the gazillion squirrels that frequent the Bistro instead. Why the foxes haven't staked out our yard on a daily basis is beyond me. Anyway, I loved the way she was gripping the red maple branch and looking quizzical.
It has been an uneventful day. Scattered showers, but relatively warm temps. Some time in the hide. Some time watching our governors. And a quick trip to Lowe's and the pet store. Went armed with our masks, hand sanitizer and alcohol in a spray bottle. Ready for anything!
I want to touch for just a moment on mental health in this current situation. If you are someone, like me, who battles depression, be sensitive to signs that you may need an extra level of help. If you don't normally deal with depression or anxiety, don't be surprised if you feel some of the symptoms associated with those conditions. This is an incredibly stressful situation for most of us - there are layers upon layers of uncertainty; varying degrees of fear, and feelings of isolation. Be kind to yourself. Reach out to friends if you need to talk. Don't be afraid to ask for help!
And you know the drill...be safe, maintain social distance, be kind.
