World Naked Gardening Day
Hooray! The plants I ordered on-line less than a week ago were delivered this morning, about 3 weeks earlier than the website had implied they would arrive. Hermes emailed to say that they would be here between 6 and 10pm, but our local Winged Messenger, aka Barbara, is obviously more fleet-footed than most, as they were waiting inside the gate at 11.0am!
Their arrival spurred me on to do some serious work in the 'yard this afternoon, planting them in to containers. But first some re-potting of other plants was required. I foolishly mentioned that it's World Naked Gardening Day, and MrM pointed out that it wouldn't be a problem to participated as our 'yard is very private with high walls and the gate locked. It would, after all, make an interesting Blip! However, the temperature in this neck of the woods - north Northumberland - is such that I didn't even consider the idea. Full body covering including a woolly jumper was required outside today! So, dear Blipper, you're saved from a photo of this old bird with goosebumps. Here, instead, in a much more attractive little bird.
Lockdown, day 40
