No trips out (apart from an abortive one to the Homebase Garden Centre). So a day of much honest endeavour in the garden. Having no compost heap, the weeds and clippings are beginning to build up towards the limit of my storage. Some less than honest endeavour may be called for. Can you flush garden waste down the lavvy?
Later, much later, a streaming movie: Gaza. From last year. Verdict: some terrific, almost photographic, imagery. And a real insight into life in the place. Mostly just civilian life like anywhere else (though I think rubbish collections could be more effective) but some great scenes of the young lads, absurdly and with great futility, with their slingshots, pinging ineffective stones over the border fences. As a documentary though, the final ten minutes of older footage was a bit of a cop out. If you’re going to start looking at the bigger picture, then … you need to look at the bigger picture. Sez I.
