A time for everything

From the bike trail

Saturday
We took our daily exercise on the Little Miami bike trail this morning, starting from South Lebanon. We had been going for a couple of miles or so, when at a road junction we came across a road closed sign at the side of the trail. We initially thought it applied to the road, and had been pulled aside for the weekend, since no-one would be working. However, after a while we came to a section on the trail where the surface had been prepared for resurfacing, and was all rough. We continued our bumpy way for a couple of miles before we came to a section of fresh tarmac, and could see the tarmac machine up ahead. At this point we decided the sign did apply to the trail, rather than the road, and so turned around, and then continued past the car in a southerly direction, for a total mileage of 20 miles. My blip is taken early in our ride, looking across the river, and on the horizon you can make out the loops of some of the roller coasters at Kings Island, our local amusement park, which I don’t think will be seeing much if any business this year! When we returned home, the weather continued to be warm and sunny, so after lunch I decided it would be a good opportunity to pressure wash the patio, which took me several hours. After a 20-mile bike ride and a couple of hours pressure washing, which always ends giving me an aching back, I decided I was too tired to start cooking, and instead we would order some Indian food for take-away, which was very tasty.
