Daisies

Daisies always remind me of summer. Summer sun dresses with daisy patterns have popular for decades and you can see why, daisies are so sunny and cheerful looking.

It was lovely and sunny today, but our weather is a bit up and down at the moment. Next Monday would have been the May bank holiday, and typically the forecast for then is for cool weather with a 9C high. Thankfully the bank holiday has been changed to this Friday to coincide with the 75th anniversary of VE day, and luckily the weather is forecast to be warm with a 23C high. Such a difference in temperatures in a few days.

Thomas never got around to cutting the boys' hair, so they are all looking a bit ... hairy! So today I am going to attempt to cut Gavin's hair, not sure how that will work as I don't have very good scissors. It can't look any worse than it does now, can it?!

So much speculation going on about how things will change after Boris' speech on Thursday regarding the lockdown. All I know is that if people are returning to work in offices they will have to wear masks as it will not always be possible to keep a distance of 2m. I just hope everyone will be making their own masks and not selfishly taking much needed supplies from NHS staff and care workers. Of course home made ones are not 100% safe but if someone is coughing it will hopefully catch some of their spray. Restaurants had better adapt to offering take aways as I doubt they will be opening, unlike those in Switzerland. And even if hairdressers open again they will only allow a couple of customers in at the same time, maybe even only one, so goodness knows how long it will take to get an appointment. The new normal, lots to look forward to .....
