Masked

A neighbour put out a call for elastic as she wanted to try and make some masks. I obliged and she gave me a few samples. What strikes me most is how claustrophobic they are, and I’ve worn them for less than a minute. They also steam up my glasses... which is going to be a big problem if we are forced to wear these in public.

Most of all I feel a strange urge to scrawl rude slogans all over them in marker pen. Maybe soon the ‘influencers’ amongst us will be selling advertising space on our masks. And someone will inevitably bring out a ‘keep calm and carry on’ version....
