Water

Our friends Nicola and Stewart came over lunch time and we went to the Dirty Duck on Waterside where we sampled their excellent fish and chips washed down with a couple of pints of IPA and Dirty Mallard.

After lunch we braved the rain to walk by the river which had been swollen by the melting snows, though not quite as flooded as in December.

The afternoon was taken up at home chatting and drinking coffee. All in all a pretty nice day!

ps having spoken of self-help books yesterday I thought I ought to at least open my Photoshop Elements 6 book. I did that this morning whilst waiting for our guests, and nearly worked my way through chapter one before putting it down and trying some of the stuff they don't cover until chapter ten!
