South from Peep o Day

This was the view south from the wonderfully named Peep o Day towards Combs edge over Chapel-en-le-Frith. The plan was to find some brighter skies and south seemed like the way to go.


As it turned out it was another day with a truncated walk and ice cold winds - I really should just ignore it and carry on walking to warm up but when it's grey as well, my heart's not in it.

I went home and finished my 2nd Stephen Booth novel of the month so I'm now up to date with the lives of Cooper and Fry and the rest of the Derbyshire Police from his locally set stories. I'll have to wait for him to publish a new one now.
