Favorite

This is (one of) my favorite spot(s) in my favorite park on a beautiful day in my favorite time of year, spring! I love the new green haze that grows in spring. It starts in that sweet spring green and then deepens to the richer greens of summer. This is looking down on Whatcom Creek as it flows through Whatcom Falls Park. Shelly and I walked here today. At Derby Pond we saw a heron hoping to catch the newly stocked trout in the pond. And we saw one lone wood duck, a male. Either he missed out on the mating season or his mate is doing nest duty right now.
