Baby Lorna with Topsie and Theo, 1914

Lorna is four months old in this photo. She is pictured in the arms of her mother Topsie, and with her brother Theo aged two. Theo wears a dress here because he has not yet been 'breeched'.

From the annotation in the photograph album, we know that Lorna's father Albert carried this photo when on service in France in World War I. We wonder whether he took an updated version with him when he left his family a second time in World War II?

Lorna's father actually served in three wars over the course of his life-time. The Boer War was his first.
