Sally Mair - Loving life

Hide and shelter

What a beautiful day it has been today. I was woken quite early today by a turf delivery. We have a dead patch in the centre of our lawn. It wouldn't have responded well to seeding whereas hopefully when the turf is laid tomorrow we'll have a usable lawn again in a few weeks.
I've spent most of the day in the garden today, and I ordered myself some runner bean plants as none of my elderly seeds has germinated. I've ordered from Suttons as I've been impressed with the plants I've already had from them and their condition on arrival.
Colin had an online Bridge afternoon so I forced myself to sit around the garden, it was tough but I managed. According to the thermometer it was 19' it was certainly very pleasant.
On my walk yesterday and today in Ravelston Woods there were lots of little shelters built against trees like the one in my blip. I remember in Guides making shelters and bivouacs. I imagine this is something left by local scouts when groups were still meeting.

I finished the evening by watering the turf and the area it will be placed in tomorrow. How exciting!!!

Keep well everybody and stay safe. I read that there is talk of reducing the restrictions. I do hope not, I keep thinking the worst hasn't hit us yet whereas it may be that the South East is over the peak. I feel there is no need to rush it's so much more important to get it right... But who knows.
Thanks for dropping by my journal and for your comments and awards. Always appreciated.
