V E Day

Today's the day ………………………. to give thanks

Like many people today, we raised a glass at 3 o'clock this afternoon in celebration and remembrance of VE Day which took place exactly 75 years ago.  We owe so much to those that served - in so many ways - to make it possible for us to have the freedom that we enjoy today.

There was a big celebration planned in our local area for today - with all sorts going on in Ringford Village Hall.  But, of course, all of that has had to be cancelled - or at least postponed until things are more settled. 

Nice to be flying our new flag though …………………..
