Hoodoos after sunset
Hoodoos after sunset near the Ojito wilderness. These are gypsum columns. The gypsum is being mined just down the road at the White Mesa gypsum mine. I think these are safe, not only because it is in the wilderness, but also it is a pretty isolated deposit.
The baby and I went hiking with a friend and her dog today. I left either a battery or a memory card at home for all 3 cameras and so Joe and I scurried off to try and and get a couple of photos after we got home and returned the baby. We discovered these hoodoos off down a road that I don't think I was supposed to go down.
Today, I am grateful for the day I was given, chocolate, orange juice, cheese and crackers.
