Afternoon Tea

The estate celebrated the 75th anniversary of VE Day. We all had tea on our drives.
My companion was made from my Dad's old naval uniform, I remembered yesterday I had it upstairs. It was my project yesterday.  He was aged 19 on VE Day and I put photos of him in it to explain what it all was. People were really interested in it and the story behind it. I also put out his medals and books about minesweepers he wrote. I was invited to join many neighbours so I took photos of the socially distanced family groups. It was a lovely atmosphere. I had made scones and buns, some have been frozen some are now in the bin!! It's been a lovely day.
