It was a lot warmer this morning and it was the first time that I could ride without an anorak gloves and my head band.
I cooked a successful boiled egg this morning. I lowered the egg gently into the pan so it did not break and I boiled it for four minutes. It was perfect with a firm white and a nice runny yoke. Very tasty with smoked salmon.
It took most of the morning to mask off the Bentley ready for painting but by lunchtime I'd painted both sides of the skuttle and the nearside and offside up to and including the rear door. During the afternoon I painted the nearside bonnet and the offside front wing. I also stripped down the two sidelight rims and gave them an undercoating. Tomorrow weather permitting I will topcoat the two rear quarters and the back of the car. This should not take too long as there is not so much mask off to be done
I'm getting better at spraying with each panel I paint. If I'm not careful I could end up going round a d round the car respraying the earlier panels as I get better and better at it. The lacquer coat is the one that makes the finish and hopefully by the time I come to do this will be more proficient.
