Day 47 - Lockdown Birthday in Brazil

We were in Brazil today


Well - not really - but we imagined so!

Since lockdown does not stop for birthdays, and Neil’s was yesterday, we needed to come up with something different.
So we decided to “travel” to Brazil, our favourite holiday country!

We dressed in our beach outfits and had a late breakfast in the in the sunny bay window imagining us being in Boipeba.
We had tropical fruit, juice, omelettes, Brazilian coconut cake, home made tapiocas and more!
It was delish!

We had a relaxed and lazy day in the sun (mainly because we had eaten far too much in the morning) and listened to the wonderful Flavia Dantas, a Bossa Nova Singer we have seen several times in the Bottle Bar in Rio.

In the evening we celebrated with quite a few Caipirinhas accompanied by Bolinhos de Bacalao, home made from scratch!
It was fab!

Ok - the trip was mainly culinary … but we had a great day and will definitely remember this birthday
