Day 412 - Debauchery

It was Neil's birthday today!!!
And a night in the Hotel of Gods in Edinburgh!

We took the Peugeot over to drop at Donald's and were shocked about the crazy roadworks in the "burgh".

Donald gave us a lift to the Hotel and and we got checked in - with a glass of prosecco ....

My original plan to get at least some food before bubbly was out of the window - hey ho!

The Hotel Rooms were very small but cosy and versailles style decadence!
Who doesn't like a four poster bed with heavy curtains?

And unlimited Prosecco was brought to the room by a butler, when you press a button ... pretty cool!!

We still went for a walk and had coffee at the "Milkman" plus a brownie before we returned to the House of Gods for a pre dinner cocktail.

We had dinner at Vittoria's and returned back to the hotel with a solid foundation of carbohydrates.

The cocktail bar was outside with heaters, so it was nice to sit in a cosy bar and have a nice beverage.

However - as the lightweights we are, we did not get through the cocktail menu and did not even manage a very late night - but be had fun and enjoyed our adventure to the capital.
