Void

A very busy day! A tour of the Reichstag, Brandenburg Tor, a visit to the Holocaust memorial and then onto the Jewish museum. I find this an incredibly affecting place -especially this area where a thousand metal faces lie within a huge void. You can walk across which makes this clanging sound like a toll bell.

I hadn't realised that it was Holocaust day this weekend until I got back. It was a very moving and powerful experience to be witness to the representation of this in the architecture and art within the building.

We had a shop in the Ka de We (actually I brought a box of biscuits and people watched!) and then onto the Sony Centre to see 'Django Unchained'.
