Copper beech and cyclist
I love the delicate tones that a copper beech tree's first leaves produce. Nearly see through pinks and light greens. Then a transformation occurs as the leaves harden in the warmer weather and the darker maroons produces deep shade and shelter against the hotter sun.
As I stood on this quiet road I heard and recognised the approach of a cyclist coming up behind me, and I waited with my finger on the shutter button for a couple of seconds.
