Mannlichen Panorama

I have always been fascinated by the North Face of the Eiger and all the legends surrounding this fearsome wall, so it was a pleasure to ascend by cable car to the Mannlichen ski area for a panoramic view in perfect conditions.

This was a good opportunity to try out the sweep panorama on the little Sony RX100 which performed remarkably well picking up an enormous amount of detail even on a hand held sweep.

For anyone interested the big mountains from left to right are, the,Wetterhorn,Schreckhorn,Eiger,Monch and Jungfrau.

I was envious of the skiers who had almost empty slopes on perfect snow.
