Heeding Advice
Today has always been a big day on the calendar because both my sons have birthdays today 10 years apart. I was up at the crack of dawn to deliver a banana loaf to the doorstep of #2 son. #1 son lives too far a away for a cake delivery and had to make do with a phone call.
It was such a cold early morning cycle that I had a close encounter with a hot water bottle when I got back home. Once I was sufficiently thawed out I took to the streets once again, more to get a blip than for my greater good of my soul. I was lucky to find ‘Bobby’ wearing a face mask even though there have been no tourists crowding round him for 2 months.
I was happily minding my own business in the afternoon when my young neighbour upstairs came to tell me he thought he had a leak somewhere in a heating pipe as his central heating boiler was losing pressure and had I noticed any damp ceiling. Being closer to the floor than most, I hadn’t looked at the ceilings of late, but there it was, a little water mark in my hall ceiling. Worryingly it was not under of any of his radiators. but possibly under a pipe from one radiator to another. I’m trying not to extrapolate to the point of having a ceiling coming down and the resultant damage and repair, but.................
I think I’ll put a basin under the mark as a precaution in case it gets worse overnight.
