Over the top

Bozo, like a lot of his supporters is obsessed with a war which ended long before he was born.

So I expected lots of blitz spirits references during his pre-recorded announcement tonight - (Of course it was pre-recorded; would you trust that clown to get it right if allowed to do it live?).

And yet the war it made me think off most was the ‘Great War’, with our General Melchett tribute act, hair disturbingly brushed, sending ordinary people ‘over the top’ to rescue the economy for his mates. Just as bumbling, just as confused, just as deadly.

Thank god we are this side of the border.
