Cows

There's a sight to gladden my heart - happy cows in a field full of grass in warm sunshine.

Until we retired 4 years ago, MrHCB and I were beef farmers in Wiltshire.  We had a herd of Charolais/Simmental crosses of which we were very proud.  We don't miss the paperwork, rules and regulations, and inspections of farming, but we do miss the cows!

This little herd all came across to say hello and have their ears scratched.  They are bonny commercial-cross heifers well on in calf.  We look forward to meeting their calves quite soon.
