For a long time I passed what I thought was a blank board which had lost a notice which might once have been attached to it. I asked one of the other regular river trail walkers about it when we happened to meet near where it hides in the undergrowth. He said he understood it to be a memorial plaque to someone's pet. And today I noticed it has been cleaned up.

Extras:  Kiki getting in the picture to cool off her paws and get a drink - I didn't really appreciate the wet leash.
