Maya's waves

Like everyone else, we are missing our family and friends so much during the lockdown.

The highlight of our day was to see Wiebke, Paul and little Maya at their window. We texted them just as we were approaching their tenement near the park during our evening walk. Maya gave us the most wonderful welcome. She waved at us non-stop from the moment we arrived until we departed. It was great to chat to our friends, albeit at a distance.

The other fun part of our walk was to bump into Katharine who had just popped up Leith Walk to pick up a book.

The rest of the day I was knee deep in work (mainly email). Meanwhile Mr hazelh played cleaner this morning, then sped off on a solo bike ride this afternoon.

This evening's Scrabble match was a stonker. We scored 898 points between us, with a win for Mr hazelh on 498. We placed six 7-letter words on the board, as can be seen the extra.

Exercise today: walking (10,530 steps).
