First Bud
The only photo I took today, my courtyard rose has got its first bud!
Not much done today other than a little gardening and general cleaning. Had a team zoom meeting, and this week invited Gareth, our autistic volunteer. It was good to see him and despite most of the conversation centring around baking, cancelled holidays and orchids, he emailed straight away afterwards asking if he could join again next week! His mum texted later to say how much he had loved seeing everyone and how he had been so lifted from the interaction.
I messaged the boys and their OHs on the WhatsApp group we occasionally use and suggested as that most of us have had, or will have their birthday in lockdown that we all put £10 per head monthly into a savings Account so that when it is all over we will all be able to go out together for a family big night out! I got lots of comedic replies but all agreed! Something to look forward to and if it lasts six months, we will have a tidy sum! Should a miracle occur and a vaccine is found within a few weeks, we will cheer and be very grateful for the Macdonalds!
