worn out
A late posting due to another virtual dinner party running late! This time Keith cooked and delivered to our door. His chef skills are increasing exponentially.Great food, lots of laughs a quiz and a little wine, sitting down at the table together for real is never going to be the same :-)
The blip is a sorry story of how the female blue tit is working hard and losing at the moment. She appears to be feeding and sitting on her own. She doesn't look quite this bad as this is straight after a bath but you can see how her feathers are so worn. We started with 11 chicks, this fell relatively quickly to 7 but after the the first cold night we were down to 3 . They all looked large and active but last night another died, we now have just 2. Having a nest box cam always brings sadness as well as pleasure.
In extra is a gosling on the R Derwent, I cropped it to concentrate on the lovely reflection.
The robin continues to chase off the resining young one but he keeps returning.
Don't mention golf, I'm getting angry. Communication from Marriott the owners of our club is all that is needed !!
