Our dog's playmate

Chiqui, our 6 1/2 pound Chihuahua/Miniature Pinscher used to play with this cat which belongs to a neighbour. There were actually 3 black cats, still in the kitten stage she played with. They would chase each other round and round the garden. A cat would hide and pounce at Chiqui when she ran by. Now the cat in the photo hangs out around our bird feeder if we don't keep chasing it away.

Chiqui gets very excited when she smells a cat in the yard and runs around looking for it. Frequently she sticks her head through the deck railing which runs parallel to our neighbour's fence. She stands there whimpering and sniffing and everytime I try to see what she is after there is nothing to see. Today, however, as I was standing beside Chiqui, the cat tried to sneak out from under the neighbour's deck.
