Giant Saguaro
It's easy to not notice the beautiful flowers of this huge plant because they only bloom around the very top, and generally on the southwest side of the cactus. This one is in the front yard of the house next door. I watch for the first flowers every year. They bloom at night and are open into the early afternoon. Then, as most cactus flowers do, they wilt and die. Information from the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum about the saguaro
In over nine years I haven't turned off my comments. Just going to take a couple of days. Thanks for all of the hearts and stars on yesterday's blip. Really hope you like this one, too.
