Air Frost

We noticed on Thursday that the fresh new leaves on top of the ivy “hedge” (there is a fence somewhere underneath) had all turned black. All the other new leaves on the side facing the garden were fine. As were the leaves on top nearer the house.

On Friday we noticed that some of the new laurel leaves on top of that bush had turned brown too.

Conclusion - an air frost on Wednesday night/Thursday morning.

As they say, ne’r cast a clout .......

Not that any of that worries this sparrow. And I guess the ivy will grow more leaves- it’s always a major task cutting it back later in the year.
