brambleblossom

By brambleblossom

I awoke to a grey, featureless sky with the hope that it had brought some rain as our garden and plot are becoming seriously dry .
It has rained off and on all day , a refreshing gentle rain , heavy enough to soak in without any runoff.
Today’s highlight was spending a few hours , walking in the fine drizzle with my beloved daughter , Jess, and her baby boy Arthur . She carried him in a sling so that we could take some more challenging paths and he slept whilst we walked and talked and the talked some more. After a couple of hours h3 woke up and entertained us by pointing .... its his new thing .
He seems to like feeling the rain on his face and also feeling , oh so gently, the leaves on the trees and the petals of the flowers. Jess turned him round once he had woken up so that he could see where we were going . He seems a reflective sort of chap, liking to look closely and observe. He has always liked the wind in his face and delights in being outside, hopefully we will have many outdoor adventures to look forward to , but for  now, today,  in this present moment , to share space with them both was joyous.
