Cake by the lake

I went for a run first thing and then after breakfast I drove to work to pick up a Microsoft Surface Pro in the hope that it will give me a better experience with delivering my lectures and annotating.  I had a little play with it but it still doesn’t do what I want. I’ll try it out tomorrow.
The girls went to Tesco for a big shop and bought enough food for the week.
It was a very warm day today with a very nice warm breeze so later I went for a walk to Bushy Park with the kids. Jack came along too as he’d submitted his third exam yesterday. He’s now got a big gap until the next exam. We took tea and the raspberry and almond cake that Penny had made yesterday. On the way home, we picked up some sticks that we can use to prop up the sunflower plants that we each have (the seeds kindly donated to us by our neighbour Avril). They’ve grown really tall and they were swaying like crazy in the wind today.
For dinner, we had homemade pizzas. The girls had made the dough and sauce and we all made our own pizzas. We also made a very big mess in the kitchen. Jack was the only one to finish his pizza. My pizza was a bit of a disaster as it had stuck to the kitchen counter bit it tasted quite nice.
