Bath time... again...

A lot happened today. It felt like every time I started something someone needed me to do something else or feed them. It was a day of many baths and showers. First off Jack managed to get a whole hand full of splinters after about two minutes in the garden. We soaked them in a warm bath, his second of the day but they’re still in his hand. Lucie read Mr Men stories to him to keep him entertained and distracted as I squeezed and prodded. Then, a teeny bit of schoolwork where Lucie got very upset about her creative writing so we stopped and made our little friend Alfie a birthday card where she decided to write him a short story (thus completing the schoolwork set but on her terms and she had no idea).
We cycled/walked and scooted to drop said card and a little gift.
We gave both boys a lockdown haircut which is pretty much a shorn head, I did try graduating it but you can’t tell. Jack was very surprised with the outcome when he looked at himself. He had his third bath of the day.
And this evening a socially distanced cycle with my friend Carleen. It took all my strength not to throw my arms around her, so lovely to cycle and chat!
