Dennir ida Hill

Some low cloud over the hills this morning, but mostly a sunny day, with the odd cloud passing over.  A lot warmer than the weatherman said, high teens in temperatures.

Up early, and started work at the picnic table desk early.  I knocked off about 11am, and headed to the peat hill for the afternoon.  Friend Aidan Cheyney has started casting a bank close to mine.  Last year it was only me in the hill, fine to have someone else.  A couple more hours working this evening.  Some walkies with Sammy, before I get my feet up for the night.

Another productive day in the peat hill, and two thirds of the way through my casting.  One of the essential things you must do in the peat hill, to keep good peat etiquette, take a picnic or lunch with you.  This must include a flask for tea, biscuits, Blue Ribbon is usually my choice, some crisps, and a sandwich, if you're a bit longer.  Whilst having lunch, the lambs were running about, and plenty of birds passing over too.  Taken at the Hill of Fitch, Tingwall.
