Three Toed Woodpecker

A first for me, well spotted Foxie!  I couldn't see it for ages, the camouflage is incredible. The extra photo shows the three toes and is probably the better photo as I just got the head in on the main photo but it shows more details. We were both really delighted as we hadn't seen any wildlife on our morning walk.

We are now waiting for son and wife to arrive (they will be sleeping downstairs and we shall be eating outside). It is going to be interesting to see how the cats react to other people after 2 months of just us two in the house! Thank you for all their presents yesterday too.
