Day 142/20. Squirrel proof? I don't think so...

Squirrels are smart little critters.
We installed a supposedly squirrel proof bird feeder atop a high slippery pole.
This chap sat underneath for a few minutes hatching the plan. Then a leap of faith and he was heading for the top of the pole. He slipped back a few times, but then made it to the top.
Here he is planning the next move, an upside down hang with 3 feet holding on  while his hand stole the nuts. (second picture).
Considering this squirrel had never seen this feeder before, it did not take long to figure out access. Smart little critters.
