Nelly & the Wisteria

Another warm night, awake at 5.20 and could tell there was a good sunrise, a real, orange, glow shining through the blinds.
I was on & off until 7.30 when the binmen came, followed by the second wagon for the green bin 15 mins later......must have dozed off after that, then the windowcleaners ladder bumping on the windowsill woke me with a start at 9.05!

By this time the sun had all but disappeared, so we decided to go for a walk and get a paper. Back home 7k steps later, a coffee in the garden.

Lunch was feta and salad pitta breads for hub and I had a feta omelette with side salad.

I spent the rest of the afternoon putting in the last half dozen plants we got from th farm shop last week. Ive freshened up one trough and replanted the other, by the front door.
Put violet geraniums and blue isostars into the square troughs under the front window. Then into the back harden, I added some peach & red million bells to two existing planters and a trailing fuschia in with a small shrub.....plus the two baskets Id already made up, thats the lot for this year.

Our arbour that supports the Wisteria is looking fabulous at the moment. Last year I didnt cut back our Nelly Moser clematis and this year it really is magnificent, with huge side plate sized flowers, intermingled with the wisteria. I thought a collage would give you the best chance to appreciate them both.

At 4 this afternoon we had a "house party" session with daughter, Em, middle son, DiL, Olivia & Isabella, who flitted in and out ;-)
Before we started I quickly shoved a chicken in to roast.

Dinner tonight was roast chicken breast, mixed salad and jacket potato....again, but did enjoy it, again :-)

Outside at 8pm for our usual clapping with all our neighbours.......and now chilling watching First Dates.

Hope,youre all safe and well
