The nighttime walk

This elevated walkway just south of Portobello, meandering over trees and rooftops, is a platform from which you can take in the beauty of Edinburgh's hills and the far reaching blue of the North sea. 
By night, however, a darkness falls and only the distant hum of traffic can be heard through the night, save for your hurried footsteps or whispering chain.
It is on these brief walks home that I have some of my best and deepest thoughts. Strolls at night can help reflect even when there is no light.
