Miss Jekyll

Simisue posted an image yesterday of a beautiful Nigella named for Gertrude Jekyll who liked it very much.  It reminded me of a piece of stone lettering in my garden which is a quote from Miss Jekyll:

"The first purpose of a garden is to be a place of quiet beauty such as will give delight to the eye and refreshment to the mind."

I'm sure that those of us who are lucky enough to have a garden in these strange times are appreciating its beauty, delight and refreshment.
