Myrica gale, bog myrtle, Sweet gale

Sweet gale is a herb with the leaves, branches and wax used to make medicine. Apparently people take sweet gale for digestion problems and in Sweden a strong brew of sweet gale dried bark is used to treat intestinal worms. Hmnn.

The foliage has a sweet scent and claimed to be used as an insect repellent by campers to keep pesky insects out of tents.
