Today the hospital work force had donations of fruit salad pots, again from Paddy McGuiness/M&S. We also had crisps/nuts donated by a local pub. It's nice to be thought of and these gestures are appreciated a great deal.

On a more sombre note, our colleague Bernie called in to see us and it was emotional as it's been just a week since the funeral of her husband, Brod.

We also had another funeral procession today. A HCA took her own life and her horse drawn courtege passed through the hospital grounds. Some people make an instant impact and she was one of those people. She was a lovely, caring HCA. Full of fun and always chatty. It's so sad that she didn't realise how loved she was by so many.
