Out and about
It seemed a good a day as any to go on a long walk around Bristol. Dog in attendance I walked 6.5 miles through the city centre, along the docks and back up through Clifton.
It is still very quiet in the centre and even the harbourside was pretty quiet. That may have been due to the almost gale force winds but it may have been something else.
Anyway, I had a great time. It’s amazing what a bit of fresh air and a space to think will do for you.
Obviously, when I returned home the daft arguments about who should be on the Xbox were still going on but that’s to be expected!
The extra photo is of Birdcage Walk (after which a Helen Dunmore novel is named) and was almost my choice for the blip. The other one is a deserted King Street in Bristol, home to the Bristol Old Vic, The Llandoger Trow (Treasure Island link!) and The Old Duke (legendary jazz pub)
