It’s finished

I think I started this tapestry when I had my broken ankle 18 months ago, and it has taken toll the lockdown to prompt me to get it going again. It is for #2 daughter’s sofa which is the green-blue colour and her rug etc are the mustard. It’ll look really nice but now I need a round cushion and some mustard or orange material to back it.

#2 came with our shopping today. She needed the break from the boys who had been a challenge last week. When they were naughty last night and her husband said they’d get no TV today she thought she’d leave him to manage that and do our shop today instead of tomorrow. He is not working at weekends so it’s only fair.

I’ve been feeling a bit down these last few days, just trying to get my head round what risk is going to be manageable in order to get some quality of life at some point. The virus is out there for good, but it’s unlikely there will be a vaccine soon, or if ever.

We hear camp sites are opening in July so we might book a small site close to home as we can be self-contained in our van.

Brother in law in Scotland has booked a house for him and his daughters and families in the Highlands in the summer.

A golfing friend tells me Scots have been crossing the border to play golf. Nicola won’t like that.
