Timber!

This is the aftermath of the tree in the park which blew over yesterday.  One part of it fell through the hedge towards the park lodge house, fortunately it looked like there was no damage to the house.  The council organised someone to come and take the rest of it down and clear the fallen part away from the house very quickly.
Another very blustery day today.  We managed to tie in the raspberry canes which had succumbed to the wind.  Also got the runner beans planted (which I had pre-soaked on the advice of ValC).
A zoom chat with friends in the afternoon and Al’s ‘Pub” quiz this evening - our son joined our team all the way from Atlanta via HouseParty.
The extras show two beautiful wisterias I saw whilst out walking this morning.
